Vimes - The Kaput Profiler

Secret Knowledge

By listening to Vimes debut album “Nights In Limbo” (Humming Record), one has to think of a band like Postal Service and their fusion of Indie-Pop-music and Electronica as established in the early 90s. But while the melodies are catchy and the sounds stimulating there is this certain melancholic subline all over, telling us stories of the struggle with the world of our protagonists .

Well, so far Azhar Syeds and Julian Stetters  had not really reasons to complain. Right off from start their early songs like  “Rudal” and “Ential” got huge world wide feedback – reflected in invitations to SXSW Festival in Austin and Great Escape in Brighton as well as a support tour for Hot Chip in Mexico. With the side effect that through all this attention they lost for some time their coolness, as they admit themselves. Anyway, now they are all back on that ground as our Kaput Profiler showcases.
